Nerikomi
Line & Stratification
In Japan, the line asserts itself to the eye. It repeats, overlaps, accumulates : Japanese architecture, traditional craftsmanship even food.
From this repetition emerges a visual rhythm. The line becomes material.
The Nerikomi technique is based on the superposition of layers of clay which, once assembled, reveal unique patterns.
Wall lamp highlighting this Nerikomi technique, interpreted in a minimalist way.
